Wooded Prairie (Midwest)
I used to spend my lunches reading and resting in a grassy field in the middle of a nearby forest preserve. Sunshine warmed the field and lazy bees floated among the wildflowers. Tall prairie grasses were home to cicadas and grasshoppers, and birds sang from the trees that encircled the field.
I hope you find these sounds to be as refreshing to your soul as those lunch breaks were to mine.
